"St. Nicholas" was the first in a series of Father Christmas figures re-imagined as mice!
Standing 3 1/2 inches tall (without his hat) and jointed at the neck and shoulders, St. Nicholas is made of the finest mohair plush with felt details, resin hands and feet and a leather tail. He also has embroidered features, German glass eyes, inserted whiskers, and a long mohair beard.
St. Nicholas is authentically outfitted in the traditional vestments of a bishop including a lace-trimmed tunic topped by a felt cape lined in polished cotton and edged with wool plush. A gilt-trimmed bishop's mitre sits atop his head and tiny silk-covered shoes adorn his feet. In one hand he holds a "Crozier" staff handcrafted at the RJW studio out of wood and brass.
St. Nicholas is produced entirely in Bennington, Vermont in a limited edition of 250 numbered pieces. Each will come enclosed in a fine presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
