Additions to the new "Around the World" series which premiered at the 2012 R. John Wright Convention was "Gerda & Johan" - darling cabinet-sized R. John Wright child dolls which evoke the charm of Old Holland.

Gerda & Johan measure a diminutive 6 1/2 inches tall and are fully jointed with the RJW ball & socket system with internal wood mechanism. Their sweet faces are delicately hand painted and both have wigs of the finest mohair. Gerda & Johan's tiny expressive hands have individually-sewn fingers and molded details. Each comes costumed in an authentic Dutch outfits made of all-wool felt and 100% cotton. They wear custom-made striped stockings and hand-carved miniature wooden shoes. Johan's cap is made of felt and mohair plush and Gerda wears a delicate cap made of fine cotton batiste.

Both dolls are made in extremely small editions of just 100 pieces each worldwide.
