GONE WITH THE WIND™ is regarded as one of the greatest films of all time. Faithfully adapted from Margaret Mitchell's best-selling novel, the film is set in the American South against the backdrop of the Civil War and Reconstruction era. Upon its release in 1939, the film was immensely popular, becoming the highest-earning film made to that point. Over seventy-five years later, it still remains the most successful film in box-office history.
We are pleased to present the "GONE WITH THE WIND MICE" - celebrating the classic 1939 motion picture. Brought to life for the first time in the form of mice, the final piece in the series is Belle Watling - the scandalous local Madame with a heart of gold - who is also in love with Rhett Butler.
Belle Watling is made of fine custom-dyed mohair plush with hand embroidered features, resin hands and feet, blue glass pupil eyes, inset whiskers, and a leather tail. She is beautifully costumed in a sumptuous gown of silk charmeuse embellished with fine black lace and tiny silk roses. She wears a stunning custom-made amber headdress and her signature bell-shaped earrings. In one hand, Belle holds a tiny champagne goblet hand crafted out of real glass! No detail has been spared to bring this poignent film character vividly to life. Belle measures approximately 3" tall. She features a built-in metal stand for easy display.
The Gone with the Wind mice are fully-licensed and produced at the R. John Wright Dolls studio workshop in Bennington, Vermont in a limited edition of 250 pieces worldwide.
