From the book A Flower Fairy Alphabet - The Apple Blossom Fairies™ are constructed of the finest all wool felt. The protective older sister fairy measures 8 1/2" tall and is jointed at shoulders, hips and neck with the RJW ball & socket jointing system with internal wood mechanism. Her legs are specially sculpted in a relaxed sitting position per the original illustration by Cicely Mary Barker. The baby fairy is similarly constructed and measures a wee 6 1/2" tall. Both fairies have delicately hand painted features and wigs of the finest imported mohair.
The Apple Blossom Fairies™ are costumed using the finest custom-dyed pure silk fabrics. The gorgeous fairy wings are sewn, molded, and hand painted out of fine silk organza. Both fairies come seated in a detailed, realistic branch of apple blossoms made completely out of felt with delicately airbrushed coloration and molded details. The entire piece displays beautifully and measures approximately 15" wide by 12" high. Note: each doll may be removed from its setting and gently posed.
The Apple Blossom Fairies™ are produced in an edition limited to only 150 pieces worldwide. Each set is enclosed in a deluxe RJW presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
