Wintertime Eeyore

Our association with the Walt Disney Company goes back several years and encompasses work from Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and Mickey Mouse. The most popular and prolific are our Disney-licensed Winnie-the-Pooh items.

In the mid 1990's, R. John Wright Dolls produced an exclusive "Winter-themed" Winnie-the-Pooh Series for the world-renowned toy store FAO SCHWARZ. The Wintertime pieces were produced in an limited quantity of only 250 pieces each - the smallest editions in the RJW Pooh series. The first piece featured Pooh & Piglet dressed for winter and was closely followed by Eeyore with his wooden stick house.

Wintertime Eeyore

Faithfully based on the original book illustrations of E. H. Shepard, this delightful piece captures the wintery bluster of Eeyore in the 100 Acre Wood. Made of the finest custom-made 100% wool 'coating', Eeyore has a sculpted body, glass eyes, hand embroidered features, and posable wired ears. He is fully jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips and stands approximately 4" tall. Snow made from woven wool coating fabric has been die cut and handsewn to his back and neck for a unique 'wintery' effect.

Eeyore finds shelter in his rustic handmade stick house constructed of real harvested hardwood branches. Hemp rope is added to the design and construction and no two houses are exactly the same. The house is jointed together with heavy metal wire along the ridge beam so that it can fold flat and open for display.

This charming and unique edition was a quick sell-out when it was introduced at a special signing event at the legendary FAO Schwarz flagship store in New York City. Wintertime Eeyore came enclosed in a deluxe presentation box with a reproduction of the original Shepard watercolor illustration on the lid. Included is a descriptive booklet, the signed certificate of authenticity, and the forms for owner registration.
