The Little Princeª

Few stories are as widely read and as universally cherished by children and adults alike as The Little Prince. First published in 1943, this novella is the most famous work of the French aristocrat writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944). Translated into more than 250 languages and selling over 200 million copies worldwide, it has become one of the best-selling books ever published. More than a half century later, this fable of love and loneliness has lost none of its power.

This special Centary Edition of The Little Prince was produced in in the year 2000 in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the birth of author Antoine de St. Exupéry. The Little Prince measures 15" tall and is fully jointed and constructed of the finest all-wool felt. His delicate face is hand painted and he features a wig completely hand-knotted of the finest custom-dyed mohair.

St. Exupéry's little messenger is costumed in custom-dyed wool felt per the original illustration in a flowing coat over a white jumpsuit. Star epaullettes and tall hand-cobbled boots complete his trademark ensemble. In one hand he holds a fine custom-made silver sword.

This enchanting creation comes enclosed in a deluxe R. John Wright presentation box decorated with the original book illustrations and includes a descriptive booklet, a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, and the forms for owner registration.
