Grandfather is constructed of the finest all-wool felt with a unique molded character face with hand painted features, and a meticulously hand-knotted wig and beard. Fully jointed, including knees and ankles, he features a sculptural body and molded felt hands with individual fingers. At a standing height of 27", Grandfather is the largest R. John Wright doll ever produced. He will come complete with a rustic handcarved wooden bench. When seated, he will measure approximately 21 inches and compliments perfectly the previously-released pieces in the series: Heidi and Peter the Goatherd.

Grandfather's authentically-detailed removeable Swiss costume consists of: a tailored shirt with embroidered felt tie; knee-length ["Bundhosen"] trousers with leather suspenders; a tailored, fully-lined felt jacket with pewter buttons; wool kneesox; hand cobbled leather tie shoes; and a Tyrolean-style hat embelished with felt Edelweiss. In one hand Grandfather holds a detailed replica of an authentic Swiss pipe with a hinged metal lid.

Grandfather will be produced in a limited edition of just 250 pieces worldwide and will come enclosed with his bench in a deluxe RJW presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and forms for owner registration.
