THE 2011 R. JOHN WRIGHT CONVENTION 



Come join us at the Third-Annual R. JOHN WRIGHT DOLLS CONVENTION which will take place from June 1-4, 2011 at the DESMOND HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER in Albany, New York.

Titled "Celebrations!", the convention will include luxury coach transportation from the hotel in Albany to Bennington, Vermont - approximately one hour away. There, guests will visit the R. John Wright workshop, design studio, and showroom where rare pieces may be purchased. A "Fourth of July" party will include a catered barbecue and a spectacular fireworks display at dusk!

Events at the Desmond Hotel will include special Programs, Dynamic Dialogues, Workshops, and Exhibits. The breakout ticketed meal events will center around treasured holidays and will include a Victorian Yuletide Dinner, an Easter Morning breakfast and a Valentine's Day High Tea! There will be assigned seating for the Halloween Masquerade event where guests will enter the Best Costume competition! A highlight will be the unveiling of the Wicked Witch of the West from our Wizard of Oz™ collection! The elegant New Year's Eve Ball will close the convention with a gala dinner party where each fully-registered guest will receive the 2011 Souvenir Doll!

JUNIOR REGISTRATION:
To encourage you to bring a favored child or grandchild to the convention, for the first time we are offering a Junior Registration at a reduced fee. Junior registration includes all the benefits of regular registration - including the trip to Bennington and the final banquet. The only thing junior registrants do not receive is the final souvenir doll. Anyone between the ages of 9-18 is eligible for a junior registration. Junior registrants must be accompanied by an adult registrant. Please consider including a young person in the festivities to expose him/her to the Art of Dolls and the Joys of Collecting!
