This whimsical character appeared in only one of Johnny Gruelle's wildly successful Raggedy Ann™ books, Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees, published in 1924, yet is one of the best-known characters in the series.

Faithfully based on the original Gruelle images, The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees™ stands approximately 14" tall and is designed in scale to the Premiere Raggedy Ann & Andy™. Constructed of the finest all-wool felt with soft airbrushed coloration, The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees™ is jointed at the neck for increased expressiveness. He has a unique character face with hand painted features and leather covered shoe-button eyes. The Camel is completely, authentic from his double humps to his wrinkled knees and handstiched details. He wears a bridle made of leather with covered white felt buttons. The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees™ is destined to be the definitive version of this delightful storybook character.

The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees™ is produced in a small edition of 350 pieces. Each will come enclosed inside a custom-made burlap sack with appliqued felt "RJW" initials. Included is a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration. The Camel with the Wrinkled Knees™ is available through all RJW authorized retailers.
